I used to coach travel softball and one of the parents of the kids I coached was a personal salesman for AdvoCare. Whenever we talked, he used to tell me about trips he would take on business and all the people he would meet and talk to around the world. He made an upward of around 70k a year just based on what he sold.
I took this class mainly because it was the only summer class available for my sports management degree requirements.
Hey Nicholas, I guess I was a little confused by your post. I believe I've heard of AdvoCare but did the kid's dad come up with the company or did he work independently? I was trying to figure out how that related to starting up your business. I think that is awesome though that he was able to sell things that hopefully he enjoyed while making good doing it. I'm not a Business major either but I was excited to take this course because I believe it relates to a lot of different aspects that we will need to use later in our careers. I hope by the end of the semester you are able to utilize some of the content to your advantage in sports management.
